#SQUATS Technique Part 2! 🍑

I’m a stickler for form & couldn’t leave out another common HUGE mistake --> Knees Caving / Valgus Collapse! 🙅🏻🚫 See below for a few extra tips as seen in the video above:
DONT DO:
❌ Knees Caving / Valgus Collapse - super common when squatting with an anterior pelvic tilt & heels lifted, especially when coming out of the hole.  This can happen for many reasons - a lot of the time due to insufficient ankle dorsiflexion ROM or poor gluteal strength and development. This problem may not cause immediate injury but can be disastrous long term if not fixed.
❌ Cervical Hyperextension - neck cranked backwards.
❌ Feet not fully planted.
❌ Abs are a bit loosey goosey. 
DO:
✔️Knees stable & tracking over feet/toes on the way down AND on the way up.
✔️Neck is neutral & in line with the rest of your spine. Tuck your chin a bit and stop staring at yourself in the mirror already, we know you’re beautiful 💁🏻🔥
✔️Feet are fully planted.
✔️Abs are engaged throughout the entire movement. If you’re abs aren’t on, your squat will definitely suffer!

🏋🏻‍♀️PRO TIP: How to help fix your knees caving?
🔹Use Bands - place a mini band above your knees and focus on pressing out against the band as you squat.
🔹Add in some hip abduction exercises to your routine.
🔹Focus on single leg movements to strengthen and work on any imbalances.
