Congratulations! "East WillyB" by Julia Ahumada Grob and Yamin Segal in development at ABC! Written by Grob and Segal, "East WillyB" is an ensemble comedy that revolves around an unconventional family and dysfunctional neighbors who populate the last hold-out dive bar in gentrifying Brooklyn. The popular web series, which inspired the comedy, was named the “Latino show for the next generation” by the New York Times.

NALIP proudly announced Julia Ahumada Grob and Yamin Segal as Content Creators for the 2015 Latino Lens Narrative Short Incubator. We are very excited for what is to come! 👏 | #WeAreInclusion
Amazon Studios has picked up the pilot for a bilingual comedy series by Catalina Aguilar Mastretta (@cati400), who will serve as writer, director, and executive producer! The series follows Sarah, who has been the matriarch of her chosen family since her parents moved back to Mexico City, and her diverse group of friends and family as they attempt to master their careers and romantic entanglements. Now, Sara’s mother, Ines, is moving back in and shedding a new light on the life Sara built for herself, pushing everyone towards a late-in-life coming of age.

NALIP sends a great congratulations to Catalina Aguilar Mastretta, who recently spoke at the 2018 NALIP Media Summit and continues to be a leading voice for Latinxs in media! #WeAreInclusion
