ON THIS DAY- at 8pm on the 6th February 1918, the Representation of the People Act 1918 received Royal Assent. Today marks 100 years since SOME women in the UK and Ireland received the right to vote.

Simon Coveney T.D, Tテ。naiste; Emily Logan, Chief Commissioner of the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission; and Les Allamby, our own Chief Commissioner at a meeting of the Joint Committee last week in Dublin.
The Commitee is made up of representatives of the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission and the Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission, and was established under the Belfast/Good Friday Agreement! It met on Tuesday to discuss the human rights and equality impacts of the UK withdrawal from the EU.
We kicked off Friday with a great meeting with Michael Boyd at the Irish Football Association Foundation at their HQ in Windsor Park this morning. It was brilliant to hear about the valuable work they are doing! 笞ス沛滂ク条沛汨
