We all have a story. We all have been through some pain and heartache. BUT.... We have two options. We can use it to help us reach our goals and inspire others. Or we can allow it hold us back from living our best life. Which do you choose? The choice is yours my friends! ❤️So much love to you.
Your why is the driving force behind what you do every single day! If you become disconnected from that,  it creates burn out, stress, boredom, and complacency! I know that I have felt like this many times in my career! Can you relate? .

If you feel this way here’s what I want you to do.... .

Sit down quietly and write out 5 reasons why you chose this business. Don’t be afraid to get deep and really focus on what drives your passion Everyday. Then I want you to hang it on your wall. Either in your back room or at home. And Look at it everyday. This is a great way to remind yourself on why you do what you do, especially through those rough patches that may pop up! ❤️🙌🏽. 🔥Have you ever had a client that was unhappy with their service? Of course you have. I have! We all have. I’m sure you also heard the saying... it’s not what happens to you it’s how you handle it. ...Let me shed some light. .
.
When you have a client that is unhappy with their cut/ color, Balayage.  9 times out of ten it has to do with the communication in the consultation. This is why I stress the fact of scheduling out 15-30 minutes extra time with new guests. .
.
Now here’s the truth bomb. Your client thinks her color is brassy. You did everything right, you did exactly what she wanted, you mixed up that perfect ashy shade And boom... she sees orange. And she hates orange. And you.... you see a beautiful beige blonde. Guess what??? It doesn’t matter what you think. What matters is that her perception of “orange” is now your reality. It’s very easy to get defensive in these situations! But it’s all good guys. Just fix it. .
.
Remember. You are the solution to every problem your client has. If she sees orange. Don’t argue about it, don’t try to convince her it’s not orange, don’t move her into the light by the window,  I’m telling you. Save yourself and save the relationship with your client. And FIX IT! Whatever that means, tone it, glaze it, do whatever it takes. And smile and apologize along the way. .

This my friends is how you position yourself as the expert. This is how you build trust and create long lasting clients. This is how you receive more referrals and build your book. What’s the alternative? You give her attitude and she goes down the block to another salon and she bashes you. Now what? You lost her for life and the potential of all her referrals. It’s not worth it! .
.
Just take a step back and think big picture. It’s 20 minutes out of your life. Do the right thing by your client. This will go such a long way. I promise! ❤️. Tag your friends on this one please! 🙏

As a salon owner there are a million things you can post and share! .

1. Stay on brand - Show your brand personality. 
2. Speak to your target market - speak directly to your audience in their language! 
3. Engage with your potential guests and your audience - ask questions. Run a contest or a giveaway. 
4. Educate your potential guests - on product or styles or even do live a tutorial. 
5. Share your work both of other stylists in your salon and your own work as an owner 
6. Have Video content - video is key right now! Hair painting, blow outs! 
7. Show Behind the scenes content of you and your team 
8. Highlight your team and their work. Transformation Tuesday! .

These are just a few ideas on content to share on social media. Your page should not only be filled with before and after photos! Yes this Is a big part of your page. New guests want to see your work. However they want to see your salon personality, they want to feel like they can connect with you in some way. They also want to see you in action to see if they are a fit for your salon! .

If you feel you have run out of photos of your work, you can also recycle old photos from months ago. Yes. Yes you can recycle posts. But also remember to educate and engage your guests! Position yourself as an expert! 💪🏼
The Art Of selling retail! The key to selling retail is education and discussing it in the client consultation! .
.
1. Ask the right questions during the consultation. All which will help you understand your client’s needs. Also Be sure to listen to their answers! 
2. Educate your clients from the time they sit in your chair until the time they leave. 
3. Make the perfect recommendation. 
In order for your clients to maintain their style at home, educate them on what they need and be sure to tell them why! .
