🦸‍♀️ Violetta Janas-Jarka - Oncology 🦸‍♀️ ⭐️ Our hero with the green fingers! ⭐️ Violetta has created a garden at the back of Oncology, she has done a lot of voluntary work developing a garden, a nice environment for staff to enjoy whilst working or taking a break.

Violetta has donated all of the plants and flowers herself and is often onsite, hours after her shift has finished, tending to her garden. She has also hosted and arranged a garden party! Violetta is cheerful and tries to cheer everyone up. At Christmas she dresses up as Father Christmas and gives out sweets, International Women’s Day – Groucho Marx. At Easter she dresses up as the Easter Bunny passing out chocolates.
🦸‍♀️ Magdalena Bugrowska - Rowan Ward 🦸‍♀️ ⭐️ June's first NGH Everyday Hero! ⭐️ Magdalena received this special award for her warm personality, the pride she takes in her work and her willingness to help others. "Every now and then in life, you are lucky enough to meet someone touched by angel wings. Magdalena is this very special person.

She has seen me struggling when all the nurses are rushed of their feet, and has helped me back to bed. She has let me cry on her shoulder in bad times, and laughed with me in good times.

It’s not just me who gets this treatment, its every patient every patient on the ward."
It's that time again! 🤩 🦸 We will be giving some of our very special members of #TeamNGH hero status! The Everyday hero team are on the way, will it be you? 🦸‍♀️ Have you met an everyday hero at NGH? Tell us about your experience!
