Looking for grainy gluten free & FODMAP friendly crackers, try these crackers from Mary's Gone Crackers and Olina's Bakehouse. I've even put the Mary's Gone Crackers one out with dip and those who aren't on a gf diet has enjoyed them. Get them at some Coles or Woolworths in the Health Food Aisle.

Watch out Chobani, YoPro has launched a new high protein drinking yoghurt. These are great for those on the run. They are low in kilojoules / calories with under 400kJ/100 cal, low in carbohydrate & sugar with only between 7 & 8g carbs and they are high in protein with 15g per pack plus they are a good source of calcium. Flavour wise ? They are not very sweet but I've only tried one flavour so far, I didn't mind it but will try another between patients today.

A good reminder from @plantyou. Can you improve your diet? Most of us can. You don't have to change everything tomorrow but try changing one little thing a week or even a month e.g. Why not add an additional 1-2 serves of vegetables in your day (and I it mean potato!). Try having a side of salad or green leafy veg at lunch or dinner or snacking on veggie sticks like carrot, cucumber, celery, capsicum or even cherry tomatoes between meals. Every nutritious addition benefits your body.

If you're on a lactose-free diet and can't normally do cottage cheese, I found this Brancourts lactose-free cottage cheese in Woolwoths last week. There's a lot more options appearing in the lactose-free dairy range for those needing it for example many brands make lactose-free milks both dairy & non-dairy based. You can find lactose-free yoghurt in brands such as Liddells, Vaalia & even Jalna. Liddells also do lactose-free milk, cheese, ice cream, cream cheese. Pauls do milk and custard etc These products are suitable for those on a lactose-free diet or on the low FODMAP diet but not for those on a vegan or dairy-free diet. There are many plant-based dairy substitutes available instead.

Has anyone tried out the new Chobani Fit yoghurts? These are lower in kilojoules and carbohydrates than the standard Chobani at just over 400kJ/100 calories & 7-8g carbs . They also contain 15g protein & just over half a serve of calcium. They are very similar to the Danone YoPro in nutrition and texture. The texture reminds me of Fruche yoghurt, it's thicker & less runny. It's not as sweet as the standard Chobani also and appears to be sweetened using fruit & stevia, in this case it's mango. Did I like it? I didn't mind it, it could be a tad sweeter but is ok and sweetness can be increased if desiring sweeter using fresh fruit, more stevia or sweetener of choice. Overall it's another option for those desiring a flavoured yoghurt with less sugar, kilojoules/calories and more protein. If you are looking for another similar alternative these's also a few others on the market. Will do a post on all of these soon.
