New York 39, Rhode Island 19

The Lady Golden Tornadoes played another great game against the Rhode Island School for the Deaf. They outscored the Roosters in each quarter. Three of the players scored 10 points or more. Senior, Samantha P. recorded a double double in scoring and rebounding! The team shared the ball and played great defense. The Lady Golden Tornadoes are working hard and improving each practice and game in preparation for the ESDAA tournament next month.

Samantha P: 10 points, 21 rebounds,1 assist, 7 steals 
Britney P: 17 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 steals

New York 62, Rhode Island 40

New York School for the Deaf (NYSD) cruised to a victory over Rhode Island School for the Deaf. Christian G. scored career-high 39 points. Jaykuss F. had 18 points, 35 rebounds, and 9 assists, one shy away of triple-double. Kevin F., Andy D., Ricardo V., and Afnan R. played a lot of minutes and did very well.

New York School for the Deaf got away with a huge victory over American School for the Deaf (ASD) in double overtime. The final score was 65-64. Alnord Deski had an amazing performance as he scored career-high 31 points on 67% shooting. Ehadji Ndoye played a pivotal role on defense to contain ASD from scoring.

1/11/19- In the first game of the Western NY trip, New York School pulled a big comeback in the 4th quarter against St. Mary's School for the Deaf, but came short. The final score was 65-62. Christian did an amazing job on both sides as he scored career-high 33 points and made some significant steals. Alnord Deski finished with 15 points.

1/12/19- In the second game of the Western NY trip, New York School for the Deaf played very well and beat Rochester School for the Deaf 71-49. Christian Gonzalez had a huge game as he scored 26 points. Jaykuss Figueroa finished with 22 points. Alnord Deski had 19 points and snatched 16 rebounds.

The Lady Golden Tornadoes played an exciting game again St. Mary's School for the Deaf (SMSD) in Buffalo, NY. Their pressure defense created offense and resulted in a 21 point victory over SMSD. With only 5 players, it was truly a team effort.

Samantha Pon: 6 points, 9 rebounds, 6 steals, 1 block

Rochester 41, New York 17

The Lady Golden Tornadoes continued their Northern NY tour with a game against Rochester School for the Deaf (RSD). With only 5 players against RSD's 12 players, it was a battle to keep up from the start. Samantha and Anniesha tallied over 9 defensive rebounds each, but it was not enough to stop RSD's offense. The final score was 17-41.

Samantha P: 5 ponts, 9 rebounds, 2 steals, 1 block
