Angela Rye is Principal and CEO of IMPACT Strategies, a political advocacy firm in the nation’s capital. It's impossible to pinpoint just one thing Angela Rye said or did to earn the collective respect of the masses. Perhaps that's because her chronic truth-telling regularly puts injustice on notice and we applaud it. Rye is a prominent strategist who has offered on-air commentary for several media outlets including BET, CNN, NBC, HBO, ABC, MSNBC and TV One. The depth of her dialogue ranges from political campaigns to more complex legislation and administration policies that have long-term implications nationally and internationally. Rye remains characteristically astute, poignant and defiant throughout her career and we can only look forward to seeing more of her Black excellence for years to come. #AngelaRye #BlackExcellence #BlackHERstoryMonth #OPBSI1989 #Repost @omegaphibeta

Happy Founders Day to the brothers of Lambda Upsilon Lambda Fraternity, Incorporated.
What we see isn't the whole story. It's important to be mindful of how we portray/view people of color. #IAMOPBSI #AlphaBetaNYC #Sayitloud #BlackHerstoryMonth

Tamika D. Mallory is a mother to her teenage son, an esteemed social justice leader, advocate and activist. A New York City native, this fiery, outspoken advocate for human rights and liberty has remained a consistent fixture in the civil rights movement throughout the years. Seemingly at every turn, she's speaking out against injustice in America—from police brutality and gun violence to women's rights and health care to the Muslim ban and the NFL's refusal to hire Colin Kaepernick. In 2009, she was appointed as the executive director of the National Action Network, then the organization's youngest. She's worked with Justice League NYC, a task force for social equality, and most recently became one of four co-presidents of the Women's March. The fight isn't over, of course, and Mallory is primed to keep going. #TamikaDMallory #BlackExcellence #BlackHERstoryMonth #OPBSI1989 #Repost @omegaphibeta
