Every watercolour guide ever: DONT EVER USE BLACK ITLL RUIN EVERYTHING
.
Me: time to do what I do best. Ruin everything. :)))
.
PS sorry for the jumpskip. My phone started messing around in the middle and I didn’t realise it stopped recording until it was too late :\
Here’s part 2. .
I’m having so much fun with all this art experimenting and making full page spreads. I’ll probably keep making more stuff like this. I threw in planets as well cause I didn’t know if the galaxy would come out fine so the planets were supposed to serve to distract from the potential mess xD

First time painting a galaxy. I like how it turned out. May attempt again.
.
Can I also just say that the paper quality of this Miniso journal is absolutely 👏🏼💫
I like process videos.

Cacti are as asocial as a living being can get. Not only are they in the middle of the desert where no one wants to go, but they’ve also got thorns.
SORRY FOR REPOSTING but I really need this video to be up somewhere so I can share it. I will archive this post as soon as I am done with the second part of the filming and then I'll probably upload to YouTube. Till then, thanks for bearing with me and my inconsistent instagram posting :)

Felt pretty good to paint in the middle of my usually mundane routine. It certainly gives off the feeling of accomplishing something substantial. .
While digging through my things, I also found a small notebook a friend of mine had made for me. I don't talk to her anymore, but I fully intend to turn that notebook into a fantastic disaster. Just like the confetti disaster pictured above. It was a real pain cleaning everything up 🙄. Idek what I'm talking about now.

There are not enough hours in the day and not enough motivation in me to utilise the hours I have. I waste a lot of time doing absolutely nothing except thinking about what I should be doing instead of actually doing it.
.
Like studying for the USMLE. Or drawing. Or journaling. Or even taking pictures for my instagram instead of reusing old posts. Let's be real; doing is the only way things get done. There is no shortcut.
.
If you were looking for a sign to get off instagram and start your work or studying, here it is. GO. DO IT. THANK ME LATER.

The things I do for flatlays. I needed a picture for my blog so threw in a bunch of stuff and snapped a quick one. The end result is a little different from this (I cropped out half the picture xD).

The pros of showing up so early: the hospital looks empty but it's actually not. I think that's how some of our troubles look to a lot of us, like things are there but in reality they're actually not. Sometimes we think we're alone, but that's not true. Sometimes we think it's the end of the world, but there's always another day.
.
I suppose it's all about timing and perspective. You can't always be stuck somewhere. Life is dynamic. Move with the flow :D

I've been hiding my Littman cause I'm a klutz and have lost important things via lending (and the other person losing it OR flat out denying they borrowed from me) or by simply forgetting. However I've also learned that I have a terrible habit of hoarding things that are special to me, thinking that I should only use these items during a special time. For my Littman, I thought "I will use it when I'm actually a doctor and will be worthy enough to wear it".
.
The point of the Littman isn't to show off how expensive it is or to use it as a badge of how good a doctor you are- it is to use it's inherent worth as a quality instrument to learn on patients, for patients. If I don't use it now, during my student days, and learn from it, then it's just gathering dust for a day that will (arguably) never come.
.
Instead of waiting for a special time to come, make the time special. You are the master of your own day. I learned that. You should too :)
.
PS. The Littman is dark green. It's just appearing black in front of all the pink.
