According to my mom and her friends, I’m just out here living my best life and usually, I laugh and disagree with them.
.
.
I don’t see my life as the best that it can be, because I want more for myself. I want to be happy and healthy, doing what I love with the people that I love.
.
.
But today it hit me, I have to make the conscious decision every day to make the rest of my life the best of my life.
.
.
I can’t let fear or depression get in my way, I can’t let the doubts of others create doubt in myself. And I definitely can’t let my procrastination overrule my motivation.
.
.
Instead, I need to get up and do what I feel called to do. I need to work on myself and my goals until I am living my best life!
.
.
So join me! Shoot me a dm with three things you imagine when you think about your dream life. I want to work with you FOR FREE to create an action plan to help you get there!
I know I’ve talked a lot about my 2019 goals lately, but after connecting with @xodearjune today, I felt there was one more weighing on my heart.
.
.
In 2018, I found my church but I haven’t been very good at attending it. So this year my goal is to either attend or watch a service at least twice a month.
.
.
Ultimately, I want to strive for more but like I mentioned before on my beach post, I’m setting actionable and achievable goals in 2019.
.
.
So this year, I’ll be working to build a better relationship not only with myself, but with my church and my God too.
.
.
After attending my first service at @cfstuart I started journaling about my faith and the Sunday services that hit me the hardest. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find a faith based journal that really fit my needs, so I decided I was going to release my own!
.
.
TELL ME: if you were looking for a faith based journal, what would you want it to include? (Verses, journal prompts, devotionals, etc.) I wanna know!
Has anyone ever told you before that “consistency is key?” Because if you haven’t heard it already, I’m gonna say it again.
.
.
The key to success and achieving your goals is... wait for it... consistency. Better yet, consistency met with intention and motivation!
.
.
In 2018 I was busy, constantly running around without any destination in sight. My social calendar heavy with obligations and no room for eating, sleeping, or self-care.
.
.
This year, I wanted things to be different. So like many others, I chose one word that I wanted to describe 2019. Instead of being busy, my goal is to be productive. And with the right mindset, motivation, intentions, and consistent behavior, I think I can do it!
.
.
TELL ME: What’s your word for 2019?
In my last post, I shared with you my excitement for 2019 and asked you guys what you wanted to accomplish this year.
.
.
As I grow each year, I’ve come closer to knowing my true self and I’ve learned over time that I don’t do well with yearly resolutions. And I know I’m not alone because according to U.S. News, 80% of resolutions fail by the second week of February.
.
.
So this year, I’m doing things a little differently. Instead of setting New Year’s resolutions, I’m setting actionable and achievable goals!
.
.
In 2019, some of my goals include:
🖤 Attending church at least two times a month
🖤 Walking/riding 250 miles
🖤 Exploring 1 new state & 1 new country
🖤 Publishing 1 poetry book & 1 nonfiction anthology
🖤 Reading 25 books
.
.
TAG: someone below that will help keep you accountable this year! And if you haven’t already shared your goals with me, make sure to do so on my last post 😊
Happy New Year!!!
.
.
I am beyond excited for all of the things to come in 2019 and I couldn’t have started this year on a better note if I tried!
.
.
I spent my last moments of 2018 with friends and family before welcoming in the new year with music, dancing, spontaneous road trips, and walks along the beach 🏝
.
.
You guys have no idea how excited I am to push past my fears this year and fully give in to the pursuit of my passions 💕
.
.
With the right support team and motivation I know I can achieve anything!
.
.
.
TELL ME: What do you want to accomplish this year?
Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas!

I hope that this year has brought you an abundance of hope, happiness, and health 💕
During my spontaneous trip to the Pacific North West, I had the opportunity to meet @ccbarber.co at @coavacoffee in Portland.
.
.
The idea sprung from one of @jennakutcher ‘s IG posts and the conversation we had was incredible!
.
.
Two complete strangers meeting for the first time through the power of social media could not have gone better!
.
.
We discussed our lives, our pasts, our hopes and our dreams, in addition to our passions and our faith.
.
.
We shared our love for @msrachelhollis ‘s book “Girl, Wash Your Face” and quotes that have inspired us, CC sharing this one in particular.
.
.
It resonated with me a lot because I constantly compare myself to others, unknowingly or not. And I truly hope to overcome this.
.
.
From now on, I plan to view jealousy as motivation to reach the level that others are on and propel my own progress rather than as a tool for comparison. It is seen as the thief of joy because it brings about negative feelings rather than fueling the the fire within your soul.
.
.
Tell me below, how do you deal with comparison and jealousy in your work? What tips do you have to turn negative emotions into motivation?
Good afternoon y’all!
.
.
I’m seeing a lot of new faces on here and I just wanted to do a quick introduction for you guys!
.
.
My name is Ivy and I’m a Florida native currently exploring the Pacific North West 😊
.
.

INTRODUCE: yourself below! I’d love to know more about each and every one of you too!
Last Sunday, I felt called to get out of bed and try a new church. In doing so, I found my home 💜
.
.
Since listening to @scottokc speak, I cried for the first time in Church since being saved and I’ve seen God bring his message full circle every day this week.
.
.
After staying up 24 hours, I hoped on a plane across the country yesterday. And when I should have been sleeping, I spoke about God with the woman seated next to me.
.
.
We shared our lives, our pains, and our passions. She opened her heart and her bible and we shared scriptures. She reconfirmed the path that I believe God has set me on and I think I helped bring light to hers as well.
.
.
This woman reminded me that my purpose is large and I wouldn’t feel this passionate about building a safe place to encourage woman to pursue their true lives unless God wanted me to.
.
.
As the end of the year draws closer, I pray that I can continue walking on the path that God has destined for me. I pray that I can continue inspiring those around me and encouraging others in his light. I pray that our relationship strengthens after all the time that it dwindled.
.
.
In him, I have found my home and my purpose and I want to help you do the same.
.
.
SEND ME A DM: if something has been on your heart lately, if you’ve been struggling, or if you want to praise Jesus. I will talk you through it, pray over you, and praise him with you 💕
Stealing as many last minute kitty snuggles as I can while I pack for my first solo trip across the county!
.
.
A few weeks ago, I did something spontaneous and booked a trip to Portland & Seattle and guess what?! My flight leaves at 6am 🙃
.
.
Now, don’t get me wrong. I’m super excited, but I’m also super nervous! This will be my first trip to the West Coast and my first true solo travel experience.
.

As a young professional throwing herself into the podcasting industry, this quote really hits home for me! I’m beyond nervous, but so many amazing women have encouraged me along the way and I know I just have to take that leap of faith!
.
.
COMMENT: One thing that you want to start but need a little extra encouragement to overcome your fears!
As I’m wandering the streets of Nashville, I can’t help but reflect on the last year of my life.
.
.
If you had told me that I’d be ok, I would have doubted you; in fact, I did.
.
.
I was struggling with anxiety and depression, ready to give up.
.
.
With 22 chronic conditions, I truly didn’t believe I could leave my husband and still survive.
.
.
Nevertheless, I knew I deserved better and I persisted. The journey wasn’t easy, but I found my way and now I’m happier and healthier than ever before 😊
.
.
I want you to know that no matter what you’re going through, you got this! And if you need a listening ear or a shoulder to cry on, don’t hesitate to reach out to me!
