My kombucha tastes amazing!!! Mmmm!!! My kids won't go near it because they see the live (scoby) organism inside. It's grown in size. Quite fascinating in fact. What I'll do is move this slightly effervescent black tea from this jar in unassuming jars without the scoby and they won't know they're drinking something that is known as "Immortal Health Elixir" See their Mama has their back, so to speak. The taste is really good and the health benefits even better. Kombucha (also tea mushroom, Manchurian mushroom) is a variety of fermented, lightly effervescent sweetened black or green tea drinks that are commonly intended as functional beverages for their supposed health benefits. Kombucha is produced by fermenting tea using a "symbiotic 'colony' of bacteria and yeast" (SCOBY). All technical. Originating in the Far East, by the Chinese around 2,000 years ago, kombucha is a beverage with tremendous health benefits extending to your heart, your brain and (especially) your gut. Loaded with probiotics these bacteria line your digestive tract and support your immune system, as they absorb nutrients and fight infection and illness. Veggie lasagnas. One using corn tortillas. That's right, corn tortillas, instead of lasagna sheets. Didn't I say yesterday I am somewhat ingenious in the kitchen. That is like a mad, food scientist. What's in your plate today? Two different types of squash, wild rice mix with sprouted lentils, Romano beans sauteed with garlic and onion and slowly cooked with vegetable broth and tomatoe paste, until tender.
All the tools you need to cut, peel and scoop your squashes! A peeler works great in getting the skin off your squashes and a spoon is just fine for scooping the seeds out. Get your kiddos to do that part! They'll love it!! Promise them roasted squash seeds with their favourite spiced and seasoned toppings and its a win-win. No food waste. I boil all leftover veg scraps and then separate and use the water as a broth, to infuse other dishes I'm making. This is also great for adding loads of vitamins and minerals into your cooking using the whole of everything. It is concious cooking!
