Say hi to @sfubeedie student, Domenik! 😎
.
.
Domenik, did his first Co-op @bcschoolsports as a Sports Administrative Assistant. In this position, Domenik developed several digital and print marketing materials for the upcoming school year, and for events that included the BC High School Ultimate Provincial championships. Domenik also enjoyed the office social events such as networking with @wiaawa, going to a Seattle Mariners game and doing an office ride. Having a local co-op provides a great opportunity to have several #pnw “staycations”. Highlights included exploring desolate gravel roads and experiencing a broad range of events and cuisines exhibited at several cultural festivals. .

[Repost @rchlcwng ]: So this was a summer full of learning, growth, letting go, rolling with the punches and falling in love with radio even more. It culminated in an absolutely crazy week where the Gzowski team created an original podcast. And all I can do is say thank you to my fellow interns for all their hard work, all the teams I had the opportunity to work with this summer at @cbcvancouver and to all the folks at @cbctoronto for their patience and support.

This is Rachel Wong, signing off for now 🎙📻

[Repost @rchlcwng ]: My favourite part of this job has been talking to people. People probably know me as someone who doesn't stop talking, but this job has really pushed me to talk to strangers. To approach people and not be afraid. With social anxiety it's been a challenge, but it's been one that I've had the pleasure to fight each day.
Plus, who else can say that they got to wear such a cool jacket? 🎙📻 .

Meet Marina, a Global Environmental Systems Major (@sfuenv). She currently works at Translink as a Student Transportation Planner in GIS (Geographic Information Systems). Her role is to manage spatial data and create maps for Translink’s assets such as roads and Skytrain lines. 😁

[ @marinaamiller ]: This is my first co-op, and it’s been an amazing and challenging experience. My degree involves a lot of geography, so working for the transit authority has been a dream come true! There’s more going on behind-the-scenes of our buses, trains, and roads than I could have imagined. The best part besides my GIS work has been meeting other co-op students; I’ve made many friends I know I will keep in touch with. I can’t wait to know what my next work term will be. ☺️☺️
