- LinkedIn is the #1 channel B2B marketers use to distribute content at 94%.

According to LinkedIn’s Sophisticated Marketer’s Guide to LinkedIn, 94% of B2B marketers use LinkedIn as a content distribution channel, compared to Twitter at 89%, Facebook and YouTube both at 77%, and Google+ 61%. If you have content to distribute (which you definitely should), LinkedIn should be your first stop. It’s where most B2B marketers go first.

- There are 9 billion content impressions in the LinkedIn feed every week.

Every single week, content in the LinkedIn feed is seen 9 billion times. That’s about 36 billion impressions per month and 468 billion per year. The opportunity to be seen most definitely exists if you share content consistently.

- Only 3 million users share content weekly.
⠀
Your eyes should have just lit up… Of the 500 million total LinkedIn users and 250 million monthly active users, only 3 million share content on a weekly basis – just a touch over 1% of monthly users. Yes, more than half of all social traffic to B2B sites comes from LinkedIn. Collectively, LinkedIn, Facebook & Twitter drive 90% of social traffic to B2B sites & blogs, with more than half of that traffic comes straight from LinkedIn. Facebook and Twitter may have more monthly active users, but LinkedIn clearly separates itself as the go-to for B2B content distribution.

According to Business Insider Intelligence, TechCrunch & Fortune, LinkedIn has officially crossed the half-billion user mark in 2017. Since they were founded in 2002, they’ve continued to grow their user base year after year.

2) 260 million LinkedIn users are logging in each month.
⠀
LinkedIn’s monthly active user base reached 260 million in March 2017. That’s almost 2.5x the 106 million monthly active users last reported in 2016. This number comes from research conducted by web usage company Apptopia and has not been confirmed by LinkedIn.

3) 40% of monthly active users use LinkedIn daily.
⠀
Of those using the platform monthly, up to 40% are accessing it on a daily basis. If that is the case, that’s over 100 million professionals you could be targeting every single day. To make that even more excited, LinkedIn users typically use the platform to find relevant content, meaning they’ll be much more willing to check out what you’re sharing. 4) LinkedIn’s reported user goal is 3 billion.

If you think 500 million is enough for LinkedIn to sit back and celebrate, you couldn’t be more wrong. LinkedIn CEO Jeff Weiner has said he wants LinkedIn to be the home of all working professional across the world, and be the central hub for every job posting across the estimated 70 million companies worldwide. As of right now, that number works out to around 3 billion people. They’re not done hustling.

This online business specializes in delivering personalized and hand-picked flowers and has more than 25,000 followers on Instagram: it may not seem like a lot but what we want to tell you is how it reached its audience through a careful and original content strategy. To reach the target, it imported its existing email list and created a “lookalike audience” from it. Then it tested its ad by running a few low dollar campaigns and identified which of the images created more engagement. The videos had the highest conversion rate and were used for the actual campaign. This campaign resulted in a 62 percent increase in orders and new customers. But what can you learn from this Instagram marketing campaign?

The case of Bloom & Wild shows that even small investments can give great results; in terms of engagement but especially in sales. Another interesting thing to consider is the use of “lookalike audience” when you do not have enough resources to conduct an analysis of your target on a new channel like Instagram, it can be a good idea to use available data such as your existing email database.

The original, unseen pilot for Game of Thrones featured a cameo from George RR Martin as a Pentoshi nobleman. Sadly, his scene was cut from the final version of the pilot, which was drastically altered from its original form. He has never appeared in the HBO show since, although hasn’t ruled out some screen time in the final season. As an added bit of trivia… he does appear in this Game of Thrones spoof by Funny Or Die, critiquing his own work and slow-writing style.

2. Total death count...

According to one, excellent YT video, the death count for Game of Thrones stands at 150,966. Oh my. This figure includes all the estimated deaths in the battles, along with major and minor characters actually killed off in the normal running of the show. The biggest death scenes are the Battle of Blackwater Bay, the Battle of the Wall, and Hardhome, which swell the numbers significantly.

3. Be more Bean

It’s unsurprising, but some of the actors hired for season 1 of Game of Thrones to play Stark roles were told to ‘speak like Sean Bean’. According to one interview, when the showrunners asked Bean if he could talk in any other accent, he simply said “No”. Kit Harington was apparently coached by the famous northern actor, who plays Ned Stark, and the pair bonded during that first season. Interestingly, none of the female Stark roles were asked to assume Bean-like accents.
