“Marriage – the roots are deep, the covenant is solid, love is sweet, life is hard, and God is good...” Isn’t this so true?

When you are dating...you are starting to plant deep roots for marriage to your love.

When you are married, those roots dig deeper into pure, solid ground so that nothing can be uprooted. That covenant between you two HAS to be solid.

Love is always sweet as ever BUT,

When you get into the hard times of life...you better remember that,

God is in control if you let him. He is sooo good.
“You know you’re in love when you don’t want to fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams.” -Dr. Seuss ...and really is so true!
“The best love is the kind that awakens the soul and makes us reach for more, that plants a fire in our hearts and brings peace to our minds.” – Nicholas Sparks, The Notebook

And yes...we just quoted The Notebook ☺️
Behind every soldier, there is an even stronger woman who stands behind him, supports him, and loves him with all her heart. #teelambertphotography
Make waves Monday.

That phrase has always resonated within us but the reality is unless you are in a dark storm or in a place of fear...really you don’t know what it means.

Now don’t get me wrong, there are no storms in us right now. However there is fear. Fear of the unknown, uncertainty, doubt. Fear of starting a family and supporting them so we can survive. Fear of one day...somehow becoming a homeowner in one of the most expensive areas to live in the country. How about fear of being a small business owners and the daily grind and hustle of it all.

That’s when #makewavesmonday makes all the difference. We must make waves in order to keep afloat from fear. Making waves in order to press on. We must overcome and put our hope and trust in him and that’s when we will be content.
But it must start now.
Life’s tough decisions. Super Bowl...or cuddling up next to your love ones and eating raspberries!?
Wherever we have a portrait session, I always try to capture the story within the eyes. For some reason the eyes tell a lot about a person and for Cassie, she’s got a long joyful life ahead of her!
“When the night has come
And the land is dark
And the moon is the only light we'll see
No I won't be afraid, no I won't be afraid
Just as long as you stand, stand by me
So darlin', darlin', stand by me, oh stand by me
Oh stand by me, stand by me
If the sky that we look upon
Should tumble and fall
Or the mountains should crumble to the sea
I won't cry, I won't cry, no I won't shed a tear
Just as long as you stand, stand by me
And darlin', darlin', stand by me, oh stand by me
Oh stand now by me, stand by me, stand by me-e, yeah
And darlin', darlin', stand by me, oh stand by me
Oh, stand now by me, stand by me, stand by me-e, yeah
Whenever you're in trouble won't you stand by me, oh now now stand by me
Oh stand by me, stand by me
Oh stand by me, stand by me”

That breath taking moment, when he goes down to one knee and asks a simple question.
Fall is by far my favorite season. 🍁 Delicious foods are back in season and the comforts of family and friends are all around. Really as we approach this time, I cant help but to think of priorities and how we define them. Really...priorities are the things we make time for or put in order of importance in our lives. For some it’s a strong work ethic, others it’s health. However what about family? As the season approaches and the weather changes...make sure you evaluate what’s important to you. I encourage you...shift your priorities and fit family towards the top as one day they will be gone... Feeling inspired by the one and only @nataliefranke

As the color of these leaves begin to turn and slowly fall away, I am reminded of how important it is to be truly rooted in something greater than our selves. As the season of our lives change, some of us will experience harsh winters. It will not be fair nor will it be easy. However we can take heart that the vine tapped into the strong living root will make it through the harmful season and allow us to blossom again.
