We are proud to sponsor the Parish Resource Center and had a blast handing out candy alongside our hearse at their Trunk or Treat event! #lancasterpa #trickortreat #lancastercounty
We recently had a neat experience with a client that we thought our friends would find interesting.

When John was helping a client pre-plan her final arrangements, he discovered her maiden name was Carroll. He asked her if she was related to Charles Carroll (one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence). Indeed she was! She also had a relative that was the head of the Republican National Committee. John knew to ask these questions because a friend from junior high school in Long Island is from the same family. Unfortunately, she did not know the gentleman he grew up with in New York. It’s certainly a small world!
You don't have to be dying to talk about death.

At a Death Cafe people, often strangers, gather to eat cake, drink tea and discuss death.

A Death Cafe is a group-directed discussion of death with no agenda, no objectives or themes, no sales pitches or presentations. It is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counseling session. Our objective is "to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives". The Death Cafe is FREE to attend, but an RSVP is required. Call or text 717-380-9714, email or call the Groffs at 717-394-5300. Event location - Historic Fred F. Groff Event Center, 234 West Orange Street, Lancaster (between Mulberry and Water Streets). Parking is available. #lancaster #lancastercounty #lancasterpa #lancastergram

Today we celebrate Memorial Day and honor all those who gave their lives in defense of our freedom and way of life. Although there is no amount of praise that will ever suffice for the men and women who paid the ultimate price for our freedom, on this day we would like to say thank you and God bless you, your sacrifice will never be forgotten! 🇺🇸 #memorialday #neverforget
Groff Funeral & Cremation Services was privileged to participate in a service honoring three War Veterans whose cremated remains were in the care of the Coroner’s Office.

We donated our urns and flags for the veterans and drove them in our coach for a moving ceremony at Fort Indiantown Gap's Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. The full story can be seen on WGAL News Channel 8 Susquehanna Valley, Pa. Here's a quick link for you:
We had a lot of fun at this year’s Lancaster Senior Games! This friendly competition of 900 seniors (55+) has been sponsored by the Lancaster County Office of Aging for the last 30 years and we’ve been proudly participating for the last 23 years. It’s an exhilarating event we are thrilled to be part of! #lancastercommunity
➡️ Lisa Groff was recently honored by Elizabethtown College with the 2018 Distinguished Alumni Award from the Blue Jay Athletic Alumni Association. Her coach and friend, Coach Yvonne Kauffman, toasted (and roasted!) her with great stories.

Being an Elizabethtown College Ira A. Herr Hall of Fame member as a player for the 1982 D3 NCAA Basketball National Championship Team and 1982 NCAA Semi-finalist in tennis, the award was equally humbling as Lisa was honored for carrying the school motto “Educate for Service” to her professional and community life.
Congratulations, Lisa! We are proud of you. @etowncollege
