You can #StandUp4HumanRights by making a promise for the New Year. Throughout 2019, we will once again be taking part on the #Manchester 10K, running #MediaCity and much more! We are doing this in aid of the @amar.foundation's ongoing efforts in #Iraq and we would love for you to join us.
It was amazing to celebrate the start of #Advent, by being asked to switch on the #Christmas Tree lights along Burton Road in West #Didsbury. It was an honour, to be asked by the #WestDidsbury Residents Association to do this and a true delight to hear the kids of Cavendish Road School singing festive carols.

All #Christmas donations to the #Chorlton and #Didsbury Foodbank will be gratefully received!
The Christ Church on Darley Avenue, West Didsbury, M20 2ZD, will welcome donations every Wednesday, 11am-1pm, and the St Barnabas Church on Hardy Lane in Chorlton, M21 8DH, will also be open each Friday from 11am-1pm.
I'm absolutely lost for words at the generosity being shown, by Coop customers on #BurtonRoad in West #Didsbury. The support for the #Chorlton and Didsbury Foodbank over #Christmas, has resulted with a fourth container having now been filled, with various gifts for local families. Thank you!!
If any friends are around South #Manchester this week, please consider dropping off something festive to the #Chorlton and #Didsbury Foodbank. All donations will be gratefully received.

Always a delight to welcome guests from the #Iraqi health sector to #Manchester, and was really pleased to show them the #BlindVeterans memorial at Piccadilly Station. We had some really thoughtful discussions on conflict related #PTSD and the efforts of AMAR Foundation across #Iraq.
Even though it's only November, preparations for Christmas have already started for the #Chorlton and #Didsbury Foodbank - where in just two days - two containers of Christmas treats for children have already been collected.

There are many reasons why people experience poverty and please help us make a difference over #Christmas, by donating something as simple as an item of festive food, a selection box, an extra toy, an item of warm clothing, or a book for an elderly person.

As Dickens wrote in #AChristmasCarol: `I am in the presence of the Ghost of Christmas Yet To Come. You are about to show me shadows of the things that have not happened, but will happen in the time before us. Is that so, Spirit.'
Absolutely delighted that Tracy is now experiencing "Finding Winnie" - the remarkable #WW1 story of Harry Colebourn and the original #WinniethePooh. It's also written by Harry's granddaughter Lindsay Mattick and has some wonderful illustrations. “Sometimes...you have to let one story end so the next one can begin.” 🎄🍯

I adore the stories of Winnie the Pooh and was thrilled to find this website dedicated to the story of http://therealwinnie.ryerson.ca/ especially as people are discussing #Armistice100, the Poppy Appeal and Remembrance Day. People are often shocked to learn the link, between the AA Milne character and WW1.
