This was one of the Christmas gift for my husband, and it was such a hard secret to keep! 😅 I knew he’d get excited. I mean... even I was excited. Swipe to see the back cover 😍 and don’t get me started with the illustrations inside the book!
•
Do you have a reading goal for 2018? 📚 I’m such a slow reader! So I don’t really have a specific number of books that I want to read, I’ll just try to read 1-2 books per month (or something like that). I’ll just go with the flow! 😬
My husband is such a hardcore fan of Les Misérables! As soon as I saw that @theneededwriter posted about this edition, I knew I had the perfect gift for him (thank you, Isaly!). 😃 So I gave it to him on our wedding anniversary!
•
Seriously, I wish I could get all the collectible editions from Barnes and Noble! 😍 Did you see my last post? That one is from B&N too. Tomorrow I will show you the other book that I got for my husband. And guess what?! It is also a collectible edition 🙈 #sorrynotsorry #theyaresopretty #icanthelpmyself
I recently discovered that I can’t get books as a gift for other person... you know why? Because then I end up getting one for myself! 😣 I bought 2 books for my husband; one for our wedding anniversary and the other one for Christmas... and I got Grimm’s Complete Fairy Tales for myself. But I guess it’s okay because I can say I got it as an early birthday gift 😬 which is on Friday! 🎉 I can’t believe I’m almost 29 🙃

I hoped for everyone in Puerto Rico to have electricity by Christmas day, and it didn’t happened. Instead, we had another major power outage. Now, I just wish everyone can enjoy the rest of the Holiday! ❣️ Despite everything that’s going on after the hurricane.
•
Are you already taking down your Christmas decorations? As Puerto Ricans, we are always saying we have the longest Christmas! 🎄 We celebrate until mid January. That’s why we always wait a week after Día de Reyes Magos (January 6th) to take down all the decorations. (Although, this year, we only have our Christmas tree).
¡Feliz Navidad! 💚 Merry Christmas! ❤️
I’m so excited 🤗 I finally got The Art of Lainey by Paula Stokes, and it’s signed! Thank you Book Outlet, it was meant for me 😜 I don’t have Ferocious yet but it’s on my wish list... here’s to hoping! 🤞🏼
•
I’m a big fan of Paula so, obviously, my most anticipated book of 2018 is Hidden Pieces. But also, The Key to Everything, which I already read as an ARC, but I need the finished version/physical book, of course! 😉 It’s Paula’s first NA book but, wow... I’m ready for the next one!
•
Have you read any of these? ‪ICYMI: the ebook of Liars, Inc is $1.99!‬ And if you haven’t read a book by Stokes, I’m always recommending Girl Against the Universe... but you can tell me what type of books you like and I can tell you which one you should read first. 😬
•
I’m not including her books as Fiona Paul here but I’m planning to get them soon.
Christmas came a little early with @uppercasebox but I’m not complaining 😉
•
📖 Foolish Hearths by Emma Mills (signed)! Swipe to see it without the dust jacket 😍
🤳🏼 Shelfies Over Selfies button from SwoonReads
⚡️ When in Doubt go to the Library (super cute) pouch from Out of Print Clothing (which I’m already using!)
🔖 and an Uppercase exclusive: Borrowers Bookmark

How’s your weekend going? I was away for a couple of days because I was trying to catch up on Christmas shopping, on work because yesterday was our last day before our Christmas break, and celebrating our wedding anniversary! So yeah, time to catch up here again 😬
Book mail = happy mail! 📚 Take a look at my book haul from Book Outlet 😍
•
Have you read any of these yet? I’m still trying to decide which one I’ll pick up first 🤔
•
I also got my Uppercase box but I’ll post it later because I don’t want to give you any spoilers 😜 Have a great day!
When I borrow a book, I usually stop reading everything so I can read the borrowed book first. I don’t know if it’s just me, 😰 but I like to return it in a month or less. I treat other’s books like my own. And I keep track of all the books that I’ve borrowed (as well as the books that I’ve loaned), so I can return them on time.
•
Do you like to loan your books?
•
I borrowed The Rules of Magic from my cousin, Roxana. She really enjoyed it so I can’t wait for this week to be over, so I can start reading it. 🤗
•
ICYMI: check out @thecraftynerdies!
Hey! How’s everyone doing? What are you currently reading? I’ve been pretty busy so that’s why I haven’t been around. Tomorrow I will try to catch up 😉
•
I want to share with you all something important and special... I finally decided to open an online shop with my mom! 😃 We’re super excited! We are still in the middle of all the paperwork for our small business, but stay tuned for the official launching of our shop: The Crafty Nerdies @thecraftynerdies 🤓✂️
•
In this photo, you can see 2 book sleeves that my mom made for me 😍 my favorite candle from Novelly Yours and a small hand lettered canvas magnet that I made. Swipe to see more photos of the book sleeves.
•
We’ll be sharing photos of the items available in our shop at @thecraftynerdies, Facebook and Twitter. We are also planning to do a rep search in 2018 😊 I can’t wait!
“Glitter makes everything better” ✨ and books, of course! 📚🤓 I can’t believe I’m posting this just to show you my nails 🤦🏻‍♀️ but hey! Here’s a short update: I’m #currentlyreading They Both Die at the End and I’m loving it 💕 I’m also reading Uncommon Type and I’m kinda bored ☹️ Let’s see if the short stories gets better...
•
Who’s watching The Last Jedi tonight?! I am! 🙋🏻‍♀️ My husband is such a Star Wars fan; he bought the tickets a couple of days ago.
•
💁🏻‍♀️Good news: Today I started working again 🙌🏼 feels great to be back to work after almost 3 months! 🙅🏻‍♀️Bad news: The phone signal is gone again... at least on the west side of the island.
Cordelia Jensen made me fall in love with verse novels and now I just can’t get enough! ☺️ Do you have any verse novel recommendation?
•
I already told you a little bit about Skyscraping in my last post, so now I’ll focus on The Way the Light Bends and Every Shiny Thing.
•
The Way the Light Bends is going to be published in March 2018. I hold this novel near my heart. Seriously. It’s such a wonderful story! I even got teary with everything related to the adoption. I will never forget the day I started reading this book because it was an awful and dark day, and this novel gave me light and hope and love and everything!!! I just love it so much 💖
•
Every Shiny Thing is going to be published in April 2018. This one is also by Laurie Morrison. I was surprised when I got this in my mail 😍 And of course, I was really excited! This wonderful MG book is about friendship and it’s SO emotional! I have a couple of pages left to finish this one but I already can tell you how much I’m loving it. There are many important topics in this novel, like, it’s super realistic. I love the POV and the changes between prose and verse. Cordelia and Laurie complement each other so well!
•
I just wish there was another way of telling you loved a book without saying “OMG I love this, you have to read it!” every. single. time. But yeah, you have to read these! 🤓
Do you like novels in verse? I do! 🙋🏻‍♀️ I love the creative writing of Cordelia Jensen, so if you haven’t read a novel in verse, you should check out Skyscraping 😊
•
I was at the university bookstore when I saw this book. I was like “ok, I haven’t read anything like this but I’ll give a try”... I read it so fast! (loved loved loved it and I cried). I remember I grabed my computer and started to look information about Cordelia 😅 I saw she was working in two other books so obviously, I added them to my TBR list. I’ll be posting about her upcoming books tonight.

My parents got their electricity back last night 🙌🏼💡 After 83 days 😰 I just hope all my friends (and everyone else!) can get their electricity back soon!
